This online prenatal yoga training is unique in that Jennifer’s vast experience at birth enables her to teach much more than just prenatal yoga. The Yoga Alliance has granted her permission to travel for the training due to the travel restrictions imposed by COVID-19, which has led to a limited number of yoga classes in the US and Canada.

When to Start Prenatal Yoga

Jennifer, who is known as one of the world’s most experienced yoga teachers in her field, has teamed up with yoga teacher Sonia Ribas to offer you the best of what she has to offer through her online yoga training.

This is a Yoga Alliance – certified training for yoga teachers who want to improve their teaching skills, serve the prenatal and postnatal community with confidence and responsibility and improve the marketability of their yoga teacher.

This course is designed to teach yoga teachers the skills needed to guide their pregnant students safely through the first weeks of pregnancy and the early stages of postpartum health.

Developing your general knowledge of teaching prenatal yoga also includes knowing when to recommend to your students that they see a health professional and how to develop yoga lessons that work with pregnancy prevention counseling. We have managed to register for a limited number of yoga courses in the US and Canada, as well as in Europe and Asia.

In this prenatal yoga teacher training, you can expect to spend some time learning and acquiring knowledge in the following areas. Participants learn how to adapt yoga poses to the pregnant body and how to lay the foundations for the course of prenatal yoga classes.

You will see how we design class plans for each trimester and make sure they work for you and your students, and you will emerge from this section of the course with the ability to deliver great prenatal yoga classes for an entire room with different pregnancies.

What does pregnancy yoga do?

By participating in our accredited program “Mindful Birth,” you will learn to teach yoga holistically and to support healthy women during pregnancy and after childbirth. This amazing training and education is a great introduction to teaching pregnancy yoga and working with pregnant women. Many of our students take this course to learn not only how we teach prenatal yoga, but also about their own bodies and pregnancies.

If you are looking for a way to relax and stay fit, you should consider taking part in our prenatal yoga program. If you are taking part in yoga during your pregnancy, it is really important to let your yoga teacher or therapist know if something has changed from class to class.

I fell in love with a yoga teacher who, in her childbearing years, was able to work with women in a specialised way, even though she was pregnant herself.

YA requires you to complete 85 hours of prenatal yoga training and RYT training to receive your RPYt initials. Yoga teachers who already have a Yoga Alliance Prenatal Yoga Certification or other Yoga Certification can complete this training and obtain their certification.

After you have received your certificate from Mind’s Mat, you can register with the Yoga Alliance. If you wish to obtain the Yoga Alliance or RpyT certificate, your training sessions can also be used for your antenatal yoga teacher certification.

Graduates of the program who become a Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher (RPyT) and wish to register as a 200-hour teacher must also complete a registered 200-hour teacher training.

To fulfill the requirements for the RPyT designation, you must teach 30 hours of antenatal yoga after completing this training. Before you take your RpyT certification, you must complete the 200-hour yoga teacher training course with Mind’s Mat or the Yoga Alliance.

To apply for registration, you must complete all tasks and modules as a “Mindful Birth Teacher,” using the Mindful Birth logo and resources. We are in the process of putting this online and it should be ready in the spring of 2021. [Sources: 8, 9]
