TRY THESE! 3 Super Fun Indoor Activities that Will Boost Your Patience

199views

Patience is a virtue. You have heard it a thousand or a million times. It never gets old, and it never gets wrong.

Some people have some patience management issues which lead them to getting into fights with other people, into constant breakdowns amid life’s situations and into disappointments towards themselves. Breathe. Ease off. Understand yourself more. You cannot deny that when you are more patient, you finish more things successfully. You see things brighter and with a more positive viewpoint when you are more persevering, even in the middle of trials.

Facing life’s circumstances is definitely one of the ways to develop and improve your patience. But did you know that fun-filled activities can help you too? Read on to know what hobbies are wholesome and helpful for you to become more patient! You can do them at home as well — such a big boon!

1. THE JOY OF GIFT WRAPPING

When you’re shopping for holiday gifts or special presents, gift wrapping sections inside malls are very helpful. They save you a lot of time and effort! But have you tried making a gift more special by wrapping it yourself?

Learning how to wrap items to be given as presents is enjoyable! It’s a productive way to kill time and to simply discover a new talent. You see those mall staff who wrap gifts nicely and quickly, and you get amazed. You can do it, too, if you study the art of gift wrapping.

Well, actually, since it’s “art”, you can be as creative as you desire while doing it. Plus you don’t always have to spend a lot to make a gift wrap beautiful. You may recycle your clean paper bags or shopping bags by cutting them as paper wrappers. If ever you have some old moving boxes at home which can be presentable, why not use them too? Maybe empty cookie cans will be fantastic for a more sophisticated container!

Use watercolors to adorn plain bond papers, and you can have a stylish gift wrapper. Excess ribbons from your previous art project can be ornaments to your plain brown cardboard box. Yarn is a classic! If you have some colored markers, think about drawing the recipient of your gift to make sure they get it. Also, if you have some stickers waiting to be used, your plain custom-made gift wrapper is ready for them!

What makes gift wrapping annoying for some is when you pull one side to cover the gift, the other side gets shorter. You keep pulling here and there. It’s endless, and you get grumpy about it! Especially when you already cut a portion of wrapper for the gift, but it turns out to be insufficient — agh, that’s just irritating. That means more work and more mending to, at least, prevent more wrapper wastes. Calm down, and think clearly. That would help.

It’s a simple yet charming interest to be done at home. You can be resourceful and artistic. Although you are free to design the wrappers as you want to, you might be undecided or dissatisfied at times — just like when you’re drawing. Since it’s somewhat an art activity, you might become a meticulous perfectionist. Be patient; you can do really chic and decent wrappers if you’re focused while enjoying.

Undeniably, like any other dance style, it takes a lot of patience to yourself while studying the Samba steps. There are different levels. Especially if you don’t have any experience in dancing, you don’t have to jump to the complex level. Take the first step to the basics. Samba is full of graceful movements. Memorizing them in your head and in your heart takes a lot of time, depending on your learning pace.

Hip mobility is fostered. You are helped to develop control on the finesse of the hip joint. The appropriate body posture is needed for Samba. Unlike other freestyle dances, Samba imposes fixed body alignments for the moves to be more elegant and fine. You have to be more firm too.

At the same time, flexibility is tested and improved. This dance enables you to develop better body coordination. The turns, spins, stretches and twists in the dance will teach and train your body to be more ready for physical movements. Confidence will be met with these features. Stronger muscles and bones are achieved too.

Dancing Samba makes you healthier, with blood flowing without problem and with heart rate without hassle. It promotes good mental health and a likeable attitude. You will learn to be more patient with yourself since this dance is not a piece of cake! You will take a lot of weeks to learn and master it. With all your patience and passion, you can do it!

3. LEARNING DIGITAL ART

Technology has definitely made its way to everything people do. Visual art is made even more exciting and wowing in the digital era.

As long as you have the materials, the devices and the equipment, you are free to learn how to do digital art. True enough, the gadgets are quite expensive, however, if you want to start simple and practical, there are digital drawing applications for mobile phones. Purchase an affordable stylus pen or digital pen that’s functional on your phone brand and type. You can watch tutorials or enroll in inexpensive digital art classes.

This activity will really necessitate and test your patience. Good outputs take time and effort. Unless you’re already an expert in it, you will not find it easy peasy. Digital art is a different level of challenge.

In traditional art, there are many kinds and styles. One of the things that varies it from digital format is the control the artist holds. When you grip an actual lead pencil or an inked pen, you have more control on the weight you put into it. You can make shades darker as you put your own force, thus, you can be more satisfied if you execute your plan.

Meanwhile, in digital art, you usually depend on the colors, hues, shades, weights, dashes and other elements provided by the system. If the style of pen you are looking for is not available in the system, then you have to choose something else, or come up with an experiment to make it happen.

One of the best things about digital art is the Undo button. You won’t make obvious erasures and permanent mistakes because that button will give you unlimited chances! A big trouble, however, is when you forget to save the changes you have made, and the software crashes or the gadget’s battery turns off. Ouch. Inhale, exhale. You can scream, but don’t throw your devices away.

There are manifold drawing styles and coloring methods in digital art. They are all impressive and delightful to learn, but you have to be prepared for mountainous patience-testing moments. They are more than you might think of! Strive if you really want to perform well in this craft because if you do, you will produce outstanding artworks and reap triumphs!
