Did you know that like Facebook and Instagram, you could promote your content on LinkedIn as well?
It might come as a surprise to many, but I promoted my sales staffing agency more on LinkedIn than on Facebook. Because of relevance. And do not worry if you did not try this platform earlier, LinkedIn marketing is not that tough. Here are some hacks that can help you to promote your content with ease:
Create a Company Page
You should begin by creating your company’s page. Because that is your identity on LinkedIn or any other platform for that purpose. Now many people believe that their profile will act as their business’s page. However, that is not true. You will have to create a page that has your company’s logo, your work profile, and everything about your company.
Do not think that small businesses do not need these pages. The size of the business does not matter. A business is a business. Once you create the page, you can use the space to post all the updates, promotions, prices, and job opportunities there. Making a page should not be that tough a task. However, if you struggle to make one, you can always take help from tutorials.
Highlighting Business
Having said that your personal and business pages should be different does not imply that you cannot promote your company/brand on your profile. You should do so often. As more people will learn about your business through your profile and no one wants to miss out on an opportunity to do so. The best practice is to add links to the most important activities on your page on your profile. So, people click on what matters the most.
Keep Updating
Your company page should ALWAYS have the most recent information to share. If the visitors keep checking with your business page regularly but do not find any recent update, news, or activity, they will lose their interest. They might also think that the page is fake. And you do not want that to happen. You don’t want that. As that will only create a bad repute. And a potential customer once lost, does not come back.
Some of the updates that your followers keenly look forward to and you should post as well include:
- Completed projects
- Creative tips
- New features
Great Visuals
It is all in the visuals. Great visuals can make or break a deal. If your page is attractive enough to catch the attention of the followers through visuals, you are halfway there. However, know that visuals do not always mean images. Videos are a part of it too. Put your creative side to use. And if you think that you are not that creative, hire someone. But do not compromise on this aspect. All text gets too boring. Page visitors might not even stay for more than 4 seconds on your page if it looks plain and boring.
However, adding visuals means that you are giving an extra reason for visitors to stay on your page apart from your product or service.
Participation
As important as it is to create your page, participating in other groups is equally essential. This will help you in growing your community. Because you will get a chance to interact with many more users and potential clients. Therefore, you should not let go of any opportunity that comes your way. Let more and more people know about your existence. Indulge in friendly chats with them and tell them what you can offer them.
However, make sure that you do not spam these groups as that can get annoying too. People tend to start avoiding pages or brands that spam other groups or posts. So, do everything in moderation.
Get Employees On Board
If you have an office or a team of more than two employees, you can use your LinkedIn page to post about activities that the employees take part in. This will not only put forward a positive image of your brand but you will also develop people’s interest in your page. They will want to return to see more of you and your employees. As they will always remain curious about what you all are up to. For instance, one of my employees conducted a little workshop on performance appraisal methods. We received an overwhelming response to those videos. So you too should come up with unique ways to keep the audience engaged.
