5 Ways To Bard Off The Fog

1.Do you have the right fit?

Many times it happens to us that we usually don’t get the right size of masks for our faces. It’s too loose to properly cover our nose and ends up allowing space to the exhaled air to steam our glasses from the inside. In such a situation, make sure your mask has a tightening metallic chip (as shown in the picture above) attached to the area where it covers your nose. Using the bent you can cover your nose as tightly as you desire, thus preventing the air to escape your mask. Or you can just buy a mask and make sure it perfectly fits your face, seal off the region for air to pass and reach your glasses, make sure the elastic holding the mask is not very elastic, just elastic enough to not let the mask hang loosely from your face. If the need arises, get yourself a personalized mask.

2.Wash your glasses with soap water

Did you know that an excellent way to prevent your glasses from steaming is to wipe off the glasses with soap water? Soap water leaves behind a thin film of dry lubricant which prevents water droplets to settle on the surface of the glass. This will not help you with free-breathing, but also prevent your glasses from rain.

You will not be required to constantly wipe off extra water from the glasses. You will be free from clumsiness. Right before you leave your house, make sure you wipe your glasses with soap water and have a carefree day ahead!

3.Seal the openings with your spectacles

Has it ever occurred to you that you can simply place the heaviness of your glasses on the opening of the mask right above your nose? Yes, this is another way to tackle this foggy issue! When you wear a mask, lift up the cover of the mask to the starting point of your nose and place your specs right above the opening of the mask. This way the space allowing air to leave gets sealed and no air will enter the insides of your spectacles and cause you blurred vision.

4.Tape up

If you are finding it difficult to follow the above-mentioned ideas, you can go ahead and tape the upper region of the mask. There are skin-friendly tapes available in the market to apply if needed. You can seal off the area right above your nose where the mask allows exhaled air to reach your glasses. Take a small tape and gently apply it on the rim of the mask above your nose. Make sure the tape you are using is clinically proven so that it does not cause any harm to your skin later.

This might sound a feasible option for people who struggle with blurred glasses, however, this method is not highly recommended for people who have sensitive skin. Make sure the tape doesn’t cause skin irritability.

5.Buy a pair of lenses

If all else fails to prevent your glasses from hindering your vision, it is advised you go ahead and buy yourself a squeaky clean pair of lenses. The above-mentioned tactics might not prove to be helpful to everyone, in such a case, it is recommended you get rid of the root of the problem.

Replace your glasses with a pair of spectacles. Lenses not only cut down on the burden of spectacles, but it will also solve your problem with steamy glasses. Wearing lenses is much more feasible than carrying two unwanted but necessary equipment on your face. No more blurred vision for you!
