In these types of large areas, there must be uniform lighting that does not create shadows and, if the work is very detailed, localized high bay lighting for the workers. For this, there are a series of points that must always be met:
1. Enough light to work: It must be taken into account that poor lighting can cause visual fatigue and the possibility of accidents in workers.
2. Shielded light sources: in warehouses and industries, light should not dazzle workers. It is best to opt for screens that diffuse the light well so that they do not dazzle. Products with “honeycomb” shaped panels are very good for this purpose.
3. Color temperature: when choosing the color temperature, it must be taken into account that the workers will spend eight hours a day under these lights, so they need a temperature that helps them in their work. We specify the color of the light later.
4. Glare: avoid them at all costs. To do this, the lighting must not be too strong and the work elements must be matt so that they do not shine and disturb when working.
5. Stroboscope effect: This phenomenon occurs when there is a sequential shutdown of the light, such as flickering. It makes things look jerky even if it is almost imperceptible. 6. Special tasks: they need a placement of lighting products according to the job.
7. Shadows: light illuminating from above but not above the worker so that it does not make shadows.

So for optimal industrial lighting, it is best to have general lighting that does not cast shadows and, if necessary, direct light for workers.

Something that must also be taken into account is the height of the ceilings . There are industries that have heights of up to 5 or 6 meters .
