Laadi Pav Recipe……

In India everyone is fond of different type of food. When we want to pamper ourselves we do lots of things. In this list our food or different type of cuisine from different state attract us. We make and eat different type of food to satisfy our taste buds.

Mumbai’s Vada Pav is very famous and known to almost everyone in India. So today we will learn how to bake perfect pav at home so that we can make different type of snacks.

Let’s start the recipe by noticing the ingredients…..

1- Maida ( all purpose flour)  2- dry yeast  3- luke warm water   4- sugar   5-Milk powder  6- Salt  7- Butter  8- sesame seeds (optional)  9- Oil  10- Milk

First take 1/2 cup of luke warm water and add 1 tbsp sugar and 1 tbsp of dry yeast. Mix it well and cover this . After covering it keep this on a warm place. Keep this for 10-15 minutes for the activation of dry yeast. Meanwhile take 2 cup of maida (you can increase the quantity) and add 2 tbsp of milk powder, it will give a good taste to pav, and salt around 1/2 tsp.

Now take dry yeast mixture and maida mixture and make a roti like soft dough. We will need more water to make dough so you can take luke warm water or milk to make dough soft. Do all the procedure with soft hand. Do not put much pressure on dough.

When the dough is done take 1 tsp of oil and spread on dough and bowl so that dough does not stick to the bowl.  Do a tuk in process and give the dough a ball like look and cover this bowl with a plate and give this dough a 30 minute rest.

After 30 minutes you will see that dough has became double in size. Give it a soft punch and divide into piece (you can do this as you want big or small pav). Again do tuk in process and place the piece or raw pav on a greased baking tray or tin. Give a little space between the pav so that they can raise properly. Now cover this tray and leave it for another 30 minutes. After 30 minutes you will see that the raw pavs are double in size.

Now for baking you need to pre heat the oven for 20 minutes on 180 degree . Now before putting the pav in oven give the pav a milk wash ( spread milk on pav with help of brush) and spread sesame seed on top of them. Put the tray or tin in oven and bake them  for 20 minutes on 180 degree. When they are baked take them out from oven and spread butter on it and cover them with a wet towel ( take out the extra water from towel).Cover the tray for at least 30 minutes and you will see the magic.

Bakery style pav is ready and they are more tasty because you have made them with love and hygiene. Hope you all will try this pav recipe and share your experience with me.
