If you are planning a beach wedding, you may be interested in a beach wedding cake.

Beach weddings are often destination weddings and are a popular choice for many couples who want to combine their honeymoon and wedding or celebrate a small, intimate, inexpensive wedding. A beach wedding is also particularly romantic and can make the wedding and memories even more special.

If a bride-to-be is looking for a beach wedding cake, what designs should she look for? What design gives the cake a “beachy” look? Well, that depends on a number of things. It depends on the couple’s style, interests, and hobbies. It depends on the theme of the event, the season, the features and equipment of the reception venue… You can mention the following to give you ideas on the perfect cake for your beach wedding, we have collected a series of ideas below.

Seashell Cake

You simply can’t go wrong with seashells on a beach wedding cake. So, what are seashells? Pearl pine leaves, Florida cones, and moon ears are just a few of the most beautiful shells you can decorate with. Small pieces of coral are also recommended. Seashells are real seashells (wash them well!) They can also be made into icing, play dough, or chocolate. Seashells can be used as a topping or as the main decoration on the cake. As a cake topper, a pile of seashells is an essential part of this cake decoration.

Cakes with sea animals

Use sea anemones, turtles, tropical fish, sea lions, jellyfish, starfish, dolphins, whales, seahorses, and other fascinating sea creatures. A few years ago we got married in Monterey and the reception was held at the Monterey Plaza Hotel, right next to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. The night before the wedding, the entire wedding party went to the aquarium for a private tour and had a great time. The aquarium provided the perfect inspiration for the cake theme. The cake designer subtly incorporated the aquarium’s marine animals into the dessert. The topper was a large pearl oyster with gems and pearls coming down the side of the cake (Not real pearls, but fondant balls sprinkled with pearl dust! ).

Surf Style Cake

the waves crashing on the cake were the perfect finishing touch for this surf-themed cake. This type of cake is best suited for couples who surf or just love waves. The waves can take the form of lush, bubbling waves or subtle suggestions of rippled icing. If you add a little blue to your cake, it will be even more oceanic. Spraying blue on the cake frosting makes for a beautiful and realistic effect. Add a surfboard or surfer figurine to decorate the cake and you’re good to go.

Tropical Flower Cake

This cake has a tropical vibe with flowers like hibiscus, cymbidium, and tuberose. They can be used as a cake topper with flowers flowing down the sides and tiers of the cake or spread sparingly over the cake. Tropical flowers can be used for the entire cake or just the bottom. No matter where you use them, they decorate even the simplest, most boring cakes by immediately giving them a festive look and feel.

Sandcastles

Wedding cake sandcastles are usually used as toppers. But there are also whole castle-shaped cakes, or at least castle-shaped cakes with the top half of the cake and, underneath, some traditional wedding cake bottoms. For a sand-like effect, the cake can be sprinkled with fine graham crackers or brown sugar.

Coconut Palm Cake

How about a delicate palm leaf design surrounding the outside of the cake and reminding you of your beautiful place? A few coconuts on the side? An oasis in the form of a pie top? How about a cake topper made of halved coconuts, with the bride and groom’s figures on it like a hammock?

Buried Gold Cake

You don’t have to be in the Caribbean for this cake. The topper looks like a treasure chest with gold coins and gems flowing down the sides of the cake. If you are interested in pirates, you can make figures of the bride and groom… One is Captain Jack Sparrow and the other is of course a beautiful girl in her wedding dress.

Bamboo Cake and Tiki Cake

Cover the outside of the cake with a bamboo-like paste. Tiki masks can also be used. I once attended a luau-style wedding where miniature tiki torches were placed around the cake, on the cake, and on the table. As the bride and groom cut the cake, popular drums played in the background.

Ocean Activity Cake

Do you enjoy diving, fishing, snorkeling, boogie boarding, or kayaking? How about the newlyweds catching their engagement rings on the pier? This is the easiest to do as a cake topper, but keep in mind that the characters can be anywhere on the cake. Get creative – you can add maritime elements to your favorite cake.

Seabird Cake

Seabirds in flight, loving seabirds with long necks forming a heart. Perfect as a cake topper, but if you love seabirds, you can also tastefully incorporate them into your cake.

Lighthouse Cake

Is your wedding next to a beautiful lighthouse? We regularly see lighthouse-shaped cake centers, and one client asked our baker to make an entire cake in the shape of a lighthouse. Another client wanted the bottom two layers of the cake to be circular, while the top half would represent the lighthouse and even the surrounding pier. Try also: Top Bakery Online

Sand cake

Not real sand! Many bakers use crushed breadcrumbs, such as Graham Crackers, or brown sugar. The bottom of the cake is covered with “sand” or the top of each open layer… Even the whole pies! My favorite is to make a pile of “sand” on the bottom of the cake and spread it on the table a few inches away. Then you can write something on the sand like “Charlie and Beth forever” or “CV + BE, 9/12/08”. Anyway, I think you get the idea.

Make a cake with maritime designs: anchors, ropes, buoys, wooden dock, life jackets, etc. Make them out of marzipan and sprinkle them thinly around the cake, put them on the bottom, or use them as a topping.

Beach Cake

This is one of the most popular beach wedding cakes. Two Adirondack chairs are placed on top of the cake and two pairs of flip flops are placed underneath. The figurines of the bride and groom sitting on the chairs are optional. Instead of the Adirondacks, you can also use regular beach chairs or lounge chairs. Our favorite is a figurine of the bride and groom sleeping in a large hammock, with sand and miniature beer bottles underneath.

Pool cake

But not with real water! Picture this for a moment. The top layer of the cake is shaped like an infinity pool. To do this, the square edge of the cake surface is cut out (like the edge of a wooden table with a router) to simulate an infinity pool. The bride and groom’s characters, wearing sun hats and drinking cocktails, of course, stick out from the top of the pool!

Hawaiian Cake

How about a lei as a cake topper? Or a hula bride figure seducing the groom on the cake? You can also wrap the cake in a sarong or parasol and decorate it with Hawaiian cocktails, pineapples, or other Hawaiian designs.

Cakes with beach designs

Just want to use colors with beach designs? Stick with white, light brown, off-white, teal, and of course blue. Blue can be used in an understated way, as a frosting color, or painted on the outside of the cake to create a blend and accent.
