The creation of mankind is to worship God. Not only in Christianity, but all other religions also claim the share the same views. Father Rutler believes that a man is created to worship God and please Him to bless him not only in this life or afterward. Bible highlights many reasons that why a human shall worship God. According to Martin Luther, the purpose behind the creation of mankind was to worship God. Jesus wants people to love him and spend their lives according to God’s sayings and for the betterment of humanity. Martin Luther is a world-famous German priest whose contribution to the niche of Christianity cannot be overlooked.

God has blessed us in so many ways, and this calls for worshiping him. When a man worships God,  he is giving God praise for what He has done for mankind. Mankind comes before Him. When a man worships God,  he is entering into His presence and trying to please Him. God has asked us to pray to Him. Prayers and bending down in front of Him are not because we are commanded to do so but also for the countless blessings and act obediently to His will. According to a Christian philosopher and scientist Blaise Pascal (1623-62) wrote, “The heart has its reasons of which reason knows nothing. ” Prayers are an essential part of our lives just the way prayer is critical itself. Blaise Pascal was a French mathematician, physicist, inventor, philosopher, writer, and Catholic theologian.

Father George Rutler said that there are many places in the Bible when written that mankind is to prayer God.  God has commanded us to pray to Him. Being thankful to Him, every human is need to be obedient to His command. God has a related prayer to obedience.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” -Philippians 4:6

“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.” -Colossians 4:2

Pray continually” -1 Thessalonians 5:17

“I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving be made for everyone …” -1 Timothy 2:1

The Christian priests preached that Jesus also prayed to God to make Him happy. People should learn from Jesus. The worship of Jesus can be witnessed through these examples:

“Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.” -Mark 1:35

“But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.” -Luke 5:16

“One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God.” -Luke 6:12

“Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.” -Luke 18:1

Bible says that one other reason for prayers is to confess your sins to God. This is the way to please Him, and the confession of sins would result in repentance. Also, humans can out their requests in front of their God. The priests teach that from worship to putting forward the requests or confessing the sins involves communication. Communication through worship is the only way to get closer to God. Our God loves us, and He asked mankind to communicate through prayers regularly.

Isaiah wrote, “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall, but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint” (Isaiah 40:29-31).

Hebrews 4:15-16 reads, “For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”

How zero communication makes people apart means communication with God through prayers is an essential pillar of worship.

George Rutler tells us one aspect of prayers, and that is through prayers a man shows his love to God.  Consider the importance of showings and care in relation. Similarly, God also wants His people to worship him, pray and show their love to Him. While some priests say that God does not need our prayers, He has commanded us to pray because He wants to accomplish His will till the end of mankind and the world. Prayers help mankind to become strong in the spiritual realm.

“For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.” -1 Timothy 4:8

Prayer strengthens your relationship with God and Jesus and when you worship with a full heart. Prayer also strengthens the bonds between other Religious fellows. Prayers and worshipping God develop empathy and humanity.

Final Thoughts

In Bible, it has been written that God has created mankind to worship Him. Most of the Christian Priests argue that it is not that God needs our prayers, but the fact is that God wants to accomplish His will till the end of this world. Prayers build a relation with God so that we can confess our sins and put our requests forwards.
